Massage parlor boss gets robbed by employee rescued from Wat Phnom
Another example of how so often 'no good deed goes unpunished'.
Phnom Penh: On April 25 at 10:20 am, the owner of a massage parlor gets stolen by her new staff that she just met accidentally. The suspect who was arrested is Sus Pikha, 31 year old woman from Bonteay Meanchey.
The victim said that 3 days ago she met the suspect on Wat Phnom Street. She pitied the suspect, who had nowhere to go, so she took her in to work at her massage shop.
On the day of the theft, the boss had left her iPhnone 8, Samsung Phones and her wallet on her desk, and the suspect thought that it was a good chance for her to steal them. After that she tried to run away, but before she could escape, the owner saw what she was doing and grabbed her. Then she was taken to the police station.
At the police station, the suspect confessed that she really stole her boss's property because her family was so poor, and she had been abandoned by her husband with small children to bring up.
In the end, the victim took pity on the thief, so she decided not to press charges and send her to jail, but to just let the police reeducate her.
