Phnom Penh: On April 23 at midnight, an unnamed Cambodian actress was aggressed by the Chinese owner of QI HAO GONG GUAN KTV in Beung Trobeck Plaza in Phnom Penh, when she refused to sleep with his friends.


The victim was not working at QI HAO GONG GUAN KTV, but she often went to see her good friend who was working there. When her friend asked her to go to drink with her boss and his friends, she went to sit at the table with the Chinese KTV owner.
But, after a while, the Chinese owner asked her to go over to sit with his friends, to be nice to them, and let them have sex with her. She refused, saying that she was not working for him, which made him angry.
She then left the KTV and went to sit outside, but the Chinese man and his friend followed her out and became violent, hitting her and slapping her around, because they could not accept her refusal to have sex. Although her girlfriend tried to intervene, she couldn't stop the two men from hitting her.

After fighting, the Chinese owner offered to pay her $500 to put an end to the argument and make nice like nothing had happened, but she wouldn't accept it because she was so fed up and angry with his shitty attitude.
QI HAO GONG GUAN KTV has a reputation of violence against Cambodian women, and the victim said she wanted the police authorities to give the Chinese people there a lesson. So she went to the police station and filed a complaint against the Chinese KTV owner.

It is also mentioned that the Chinese neon signs at QI HAO GONG GUAN KTV do not respect the law about Khmer lettering.

Violent KTV owner let go following compensation
A Chinese businessman, who owns a KTV club in Chamkar Mon district, was arrested yesterday for allegedly kicking two Cambodian waitresses and forcing them to sleep with his Chinese friends.

Bun Sophal, a police officer with the Chamkar Mon district police, said the Chinese businessman was later released after he paid $500 to each of the two Cambodian waitresses, who then withdrew their complaints.

Mr Sophal identified the businessman as Gong Goan, owner of the Qi Hao Gong Goan Club in Boeung Trabek commune.
He said that according to the victims’ complaint to police, on Monday night at about 8.30pm, the suspect ordered the two victims to have sex with his Chinese friends who frequented the club.

The victims turned down the request. He then got angry and kicked and slapped them. “The victims sought the help of local police that night,” he added.

Mr Goan could not be reached for comment.
