30-90 were borrowed from Thai, which were probably influenced by the pre-Thai tai languages of southern China.

The Cantonese wiki entry shows Cantonese was heavily influenced by tai-kadai, so in fact the both Cantonese and modern Thai got their similar numbers and various other similar words from earlier tai languages, not through Cantonese influence on Thai.
