The really good ones sold in Kampong Cham city come from Mondulkiri, the local ones are stringy.

I really like avocados, and have done since I was a kid. I think the ones available at that time in Europe were mostly a "warty" variety, maybe from Mexico or Israel, can't remember. I find them really hard to get here, I check Psah Dam Kor the odd time and they often have them but nowhere else seems to. The ones sold in supermarkets are usually rock-hard and are ridiculously expensive, like $2.50 each while you can get a kilo of them for that price at a market. The tuk-a-lok sellers seem to have a constant supply of them though, but they can use hard new/old stringy fruit for these as they get liquidized.
