Weird Popup
Since I signed up here, I am getting this pop up in the top right of my screen, which leads to this page. Is it a function of this forum? I am using a Mac, how can I stop this? My pop-ups are already disabled.

Not a function of this forum.
That link that you provided has a pop up asking if you want to 'allow chsknews to send notifications'. Maybe you clicked on Allow.
Are you using Firefox? If so, you could disable these web-push pop-ups, see here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pu ... =inproduct

If you have security turned on in Safari and popups disabled and you are still getting them it could be malware:David Stearn wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 1:54 pmSafariUsername Taken wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 12:23 pm Not a function of this forum.

If you see pop-ups on your Mac that just won’t go away, you might have inadvertently downloaded and installed adware (advertising-supported software) or other unwanted software. Certain third-party download sites might include programs that you don’t want with the software that you install.
If you think that you might have malware or adware on your Mac, update to the latest version of macOS. If your Mac is already running the latest version, restart it. macOS includes a built-in tool that removes known malware when you restart your Mac.
Check your Applications folder to see if you have any apps that you didn’t expect and uninstall them. If you continue to see advertising or other unwanted programs on your Mac, contact Apple.

Re: Weird Popup
I'm still guessing you accidentally accepted to receive "Broder mmm browser notifications" from that site. Easy to do even if it's in English, but that site has them in Khmer.

Re: Weird Popup
Yes, the site is all Khmer and I do not know how to look for disabling that option - I tried. I also looked in safari to see if I have any kind of approved notifications and I do not see anything. I'm not totally stupid with computers either, but no expert. I just updated my OAS 2 days ago.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 2:16 pm I'm still guessing you accidentally accepted to receive "Broder mmm browser notifications" from that site. Go to Safari > Preferences. Click on the Notifications tab. From there you should see any sites you've allowed to send notifications and you can manually disable/enable notifications from those sites.David Stearn wrote:Yes, the site is all Khmer and I do not know how to look for disabling that option - I tried. You can also enable or disable notifications from all sites in there.
If that site isn't in the list, the previous posts about malware should sort it.
