I had bantams as a kid, does that count?Dara wrote:Look Stroppy,StroppyChops wrote:Those are yours, Dara? That's very cute.
I'm only gonna say this once, you best not be talking about "cute"
and not to me, unless you had bantams. You don't know cute.
They are so cute that it would be some kind of animal porn to post
their pics so brazenly.

Nah, they're really cute. And they lay useless cute little eggs, but still carry on as though it's solid gold.

Re: My geese are really loud
I took Dara's advice and decided to try and make my landlord fall in love with the geese. Yesterday while he was out working on his garden I picked up one of the geese and brought it over. He thought it was very funny and was showing his kid and his wife. We had a very confusing conversation about ducks and geese because we don't have much of a common language. Today he was out in his garden pulling up weeds again and the geese were standing exactly where he was across the fence pulling up weeds, too, trying to get his attention. They love him and I think he's going to have a hard time not loving them back.
He also told me the noise my loud female duck is called "srey luul" -- any idea what that means? He said "girl song" but I wonder if this is a joke or actually used to describe the noise that female ducks make?

I think he meant 'Loo,' in this case it means howl.giblet wrote:

I dont think so. But it sounds funny though -- but if this was to use in the context of working girls it might implies that she's a hooker/prostitute "howling girl."
