Malaysian Businessman WOO KEE MUN Arrested for Scamming 29 Japanese Nationals Out of $2 Million

Phnom Penh: A 46 year old Malaysian, Woo Kee Mun, called "Woo Clemen", was arrested for an investment scam, where he is charged for stealing $2 million from 29 Japanese investors on March 15,2018.

The suspect tried to make a business plan to convince 29 Japanese nationals to invest in agriculture, such as a paper farm or mango farm in a few provinces. He had the farmers to show the investors that he really is a professional in agriculture to make all investor to believe in him and part ways with their $2M.

After received the investment money, he did nothing that he promised in his business plan, so all the investors decided to file a complaint against the suspect on March 7, 2018.
