Love is no excuse; Indian who entered illegally will be deported
Kampong Speu: A 44 year old Indian man, JASWANT SINGH, was arrested after entering Cambodia illegally on March 9. He arrived in Cambodia through Poipet border without a valid visa, on March 8, 2018.
According to the police, the victim confessed that the reason why he came to Cambodia illegally was because he missed his wife and his son. He met his wife named Mai Srey ourn, 29 year old, two years ago in Malaysia. When he realized that his wife was pregnant, he let her return to her family in Cambodia. Now his son is 2 years old, the man said that he missed his family so much that he decided to come to Cambodia even it is illegal.
After questioning the police took the offender to immigration department to submit the case to deport the offender back to his country.

Re: Love is no excuse; Indian who entered illegally will be deported
This is the second time this week a foreigner has been able to cross the border between Thailand and Cambodia illegally without a passport/visa.
WTF.
WTF.

A poster here, I think it was PR, posted that he had crossed the border there without going through immigration. They seem kind of lax and it's a very busy border crossing. You can imagine all the contraband that goes through there. Not to mention all the illegal workers and fugitives from justice on both sides of the border.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 1:17 pm This is the second time this week a foreigner has been able to cross the border between Thailand and Cambodia illegally without a passport/visa.
WTF.
That said, I think that "love" is a legitimate reason to defy border controls and man-made obstacles to happiness.

Yeah, but I believe he was talking about 20-30 years ago when he was crossing illegally into an area held by the resistance to buy gems. There was no immigration for foreigners on the border then.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 1:27 pm
