A 34-year-old man died yesterday after being pulled into a concrete mixer while working on a construction site in Preah Sihanouk province.

The accident happened at about 11am yesterday in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone in Preah Sihanouk province’s Prey Nob district.

Chuon Sunly, deputy district police chief, said the victim, Ros Dy, died from the serious injuries sustained while being tumbled about in the machine.
The police chief said the victim was accidentally pulled into the concrete mixer.

“While working, he was pulled by the machine into the concrete mixer, which rolled him around and caused serious injuries,” he said. “He died immediately inside the mixer due to his serious injuries.”

Mr Sunly added the victim was removed from the concrete mixer by his colleagues, who reported the accident to police.

According to a police report, the accident was due to the victim’s carelessness.
