Would u return to Snookie... Is it now THAT bad?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

I didnt care for it -- even more the last few summers. I thought maybe I am going the wrong season. Jamie seems to like it and would probably go if he was there. It seemed pretty empty
Manhattan keeps on making it, Brooklyn keeps on taking it

I’ve grown out of love with SNV, it’s not the place I moved to three-plus-something years ago.

There's many many far worse places to be at, in and out of Cambodia! If you got a good place to stay with no danger of being turfed out, still one of the cheapest places to live by the ocean! Praying that the scales will tip on Chink investment. Heard of a Chinese bar already closing as they maybe have got their sums wrong and couldn't afford the rent. But $1500 per month for a double fronted bar, you need to be selling a hell of a lot of beers and Peking ducks. Also heard of a guest house in 02 area that the Chinese have already left. Pearl city still unoccupied WTF? The reverse decision on Ochheuteal development is watch this space, could go either way. But they should re-instate the Wet Pussy bar ;-)

"In the coming months Xiao predicted the authorities would step up their internet crackdown: “There have always been controls, but this will be another level”
The Guardian report.

If the Chinese tighten up internet access inside China to sites outside, sooner or later the online casinos operating in Sihanoukville are going to suffer. Just watch the casinos in Sihanoukville struggle when their downstairs gambling operations will be relied on to turn a profit.

Its a wait and see situation. Mass Chinese tourism better start soon at the beach or Chinese investors will be hurting. No sign of it happening yet and rainy season wont help!!!!
