Thai Tourist Dies of Heart Attack in Siem Reap

Siem Reap: A 58 year old Thai tourist, SONGKARN PUETPHAN, died of a heart attack at 11 pm on February 17, in his room at Hean Kong Hotel on national road 6, Sangkat Slorkram, Siem Reap City.

According to the victim's friend PINYOSAMAI MONGKUL who was sharing the room with the victim, they both came from Rakyong Province to visit Cambodia through Poipet border pass with 21 people(11 women) by SEASON HOLIDAY Tour.
After arriving at the hotel at 9 pm, the victim was uncomfortable and unable to breath well. The victim's friend asked other friends for help, but the victim became increasingly distressed, and then died immediately.

After examination, the forensic doctor of Siem Reap Court found that the victim had died of a heart attack. He had a long history of heart disease.
After examination, the body was taken to Siem Reap provincial hospital waiting for some decision from relatives and the Thai Embassy.
