The only good thing about living in China is you can 'blow the shit out of stuff' 365 days a year... and they do! Every evening a dusk, it sounded like WW3 had started.

In India around Diwali/Deepavali festival there'd be a bunch of stalls all selling fireworks... kids would buy them and start lighting crackers right by the stalls and the stall owners would come out and scream shit at them (understandably).Cruisemonkey wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 11:28 am The only good thing about living in China is you can 'blow the shit out of stuff' 365 days a year... and they do! ^^actually after that trip I was travelling through Melbourne Airport and got randomly selected for a bag swab test for explosives... I was freaking out on the inside because I'd been carrying fireworks around in my bag for a week previously lol. Tested clear, somehow.

Could be an interesting time in Shanghiville this new year with the new population probably importing fireworks.

I was in Khao Lak Thailand at lunar New Year a couple of years ago when the Chinese almost gave me a heart attack by throwing thousands of firecrackers and 'bombs' off of apartment balconies by the fresh market.
