Importing gold

Is there an import duty to be paid if importing gold into Cambodia? Has anyone been through the process of importing gold in the form of personal jewelery? Any comments appreciated...

You need to ask the customs department. Jewellry is always a pain because they have to judge how much is gold and how much isn't, for example jewelry with precious stones. I suspect it will be a closed shop in Cambodia and god help any barang who tries it. bit like alcohol. you will need a powerful Khmer backer
