Ok, so before that. Why is it England's fault for giving Jews a homeland? You seem to be saying that the whole problem is that the Jews were given landOrangeDragon wrote:No, well before that. Click the link and read the timeline. They started supporting and backing building a Jewish homeland in Palestine in 1917.Satiated Parrot wrote:By giving Jews a homeland after WW2? Yeah, real bad thing to do. It's like people bitching that the British are responsible for the India-Pakistan conflict. It's that they were given land that someone else happened to live on at the time... without given much consideration for the people already living there and what would happen in the long term.

And why did they do that?OrangeDragon wrote:No, well before that. Click the link and read the timeline. They started supporting and backing building a Jewish homeland in Palestine in 1917.
Money, pure and simple. No one was ever vaguely interested in the validity of the claim.

Without the Balfour Declaration , unlikely it would have happened.
The Brits made and broke promises to the Turks, Arabs, Jews, Palestinians, the list goes on.
And what a shitty piece of land, imho.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?

LoL @ the OP.
I was watching CNN last night, and every time they mentioned Palestine/Israel I was half expecting that group of hecklers to pop up.
