Aussie XL Roast
Name: Aussie XL
Address: No. 205A, Pasteur (St. 51) (A few blocks south of Sihanouk)
Telephone: +855 23 301 001

I went to Aussie XL a few weeks back as part of my search for the best value Sunday Roast in Phnom Penh. I believe Aussie XL have roasts every day of the week. If I remember correctly, they only have one size. I had chicken while my friend had pork.
It's definitely smaller than other options, but for 5$ I'd say it's a fair price. A few more veggies or a yorkshire pudding would help make the plate appear more full though. Their website states they have bigger sizes but I don't remember seeing them. In fact, I think 5$ is the weekend special. The menu at Aussie XL isn't known for being particularly cheap, but the food is decent. I can't remember but the drinks weren't particularly cheap either (adding to the total cost of the “mealâ€).
Sorry for being so vague. Went there over a month ago and completely forgot about it. I know the place has a lot of regulars so maybe someone can fill us in on some key prices/specials? Either way, I hope the pics give people an idea of the meal. I'm still kind of fuzzy about the pricing and sizing details.

Strange. Why do they have chunks of meat instead of slices?

If you didn't know they did a roast, I'm taking it that you have never been there.
As BKL says, they do it every day of the week and is in the menu.

Nice review! Good karma coming your way.
For that price there, looks about right. I've never had the roast there but everything else there has been top-notch and big portions. They also costed more than $5.
I've been wanting to try the roast at Buffalo Sisters, but I can never remember their frequency algorithm.

Re: Aussie XL Roast
No bones though! I admit it looks a bit weird but it was nice to have meat and skin. Buddy had meat and bits of crackling (which he doesn't eat, thank god!). Definitely not a hearty portion and ads up to 6.5$ if you want a beer (or more). Not the best value in town I'd say, but the meal was good. I noticed other people ordering a side of fries with gravy which looked REALLY good. But if you have to order a side to make it a full meal it kind of defeats the purpose. I might go back and try one of their big roasts.Username Taken wrote:Strange. Why do they have chunks of meat instead of slices?
