Re: MSX 125 from Taiwan
I bought it without realizing that the other half was to be paid directly to CT clinicRaybull wrote:Yeah the msx has a clutch, 1down and 3up. I easily would have bought the new zoomer (now with the 125cc engine) instead if my gf wanted to drive it as well. But I've got another bike for chores that I'll probably upgrade to a ktm 250/390 then sell the msx for a zoomer or something.
I still remember that guy selling that nearly new and outfitted KTM 690 (i think it was) for less than half retail. That was a good score!

You win some you lose some, c'est la vie! I'm surprised you're self insured given you have a family, but to each their own.
Re: MSX 125 from Taiwan
I have one! actually I have two, but I want to keep one because they are so much fun. Made in Singapore 2017 model with plate and full papers.
So when I get back to Cambodia one for sale.

Re: MSX 125 from Taiwan
The shop that used to sell stallion near central market is selling some which are apparently from Stallions competitor,GPX made in Thailand, not Taiwan or china. . Supposed to be decent quality for the price https://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/91 ... px-legend/Raybull wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2015 6:09 pmI guess that's the big question: whether they really are made in Taiwan, or just a cheap mainland version copied from the Taiwan factory. Might never know! The North American version is definitely made in Taiwan though, I believed it's called the Grom. Good thing is they're cheap and easy enough to fix.AE86 wrote:The cheaper version are cheap copies and at least the ones I've seen (not in Cambodia but in China itself), are 80cc, not 125s and based on the much lighter duty Lifan engines, not a direct copy of the Honda 125. Could be different in Cambodia, but either way, it is a cheap way to get into something that looks more expensive than it is, so I guess that's why they're taking off here.
Also, I am venturing to say that the "Taiwanese" versions are really just mainland Chinese versions. I've found that a lot of sellers like to say things are from Taiwan and not China since Chinese products don't have a great reputation, so I wouldn't be surprised to find that the bikes themselves aren't all that great.

They’re fun little bikes! Seems the Chinese/Taiwanese versions hold up pretty well...none of them are made in Sing though!
