Scammer busted trying to sell ugly statues as artifacts.
Kratie:
According to a source, on 27 January 2018, an identified man was trying to sell a jug and two statues of frogs which are made from yellow metal for $US300 to people in Sanouk village, Kbal Romeas Commune, Sek Sok District, Kratie.
No one in the village was able to buy the three objects, and eventually the news reached the police, who came to investigate. But when the seller heard the police were on their way, he scarpered quick smart before he could be arrested, leaving the precious "artifacts" at a villager's house.
The general Oun Vanna has confirmed that the artifacts that the suspect tried to sell are made from an identified yellow metal, and that the objects had been buried underground to make them look like artifacts.
