My point is, it probably will be a non event at all like most said - probably with a 99% chance.
But it is fucking Cambodia so nothing can be guaranteed, assumed or predicted
The shit might or might not hit the fan - volatile like bitcoin

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes

Seems like you'd want to worry about what happens AFTER the election.

Yep. if people protest vote for anyone but the cpp so they lose or lose share, and the count is accurate then there may be problems. To be honest there are bigger dangers for civil unrest coming entirely unconnected to the election. Cambodia uses the dollar which is depreciating under Trumpy's steady and wise hand. Add to that much better import duty collection and the new tax regime and there is big inflationary pressure which always hits the poorest hardest.Rents are going nuts thanks to the Chinese and Khmer without land to sell or property to rent are being forced out as well as Barang. We could actually be entering a phase where mr and mrs average Khmer are going to suffer big economic loss from an already poor base. that is much more likely to end up in protests sooner or later than the election. people who are doing badly economically usually want change
