The One that didn't Get Away.

And the Eu is pulling the narau stunt in Linya with disaterous consequences as well. Without getting into a debate about the rights and wrongs of immigration and who is to blame for the crisis it is just plain wrong to treat people like this. Send them back where they came from or let them in, don't punish them in worst conditions than we put real criminals.Barang chgout wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:08 am And we used to think of Austrslia as a 'good' nation.....

There's a Filipino restaurant outside filipines? Unbelievable.Abc123 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 8:50 amYes, looking at the pic again, I think it maybe across the road from the Filipino restaurant, in the side street next to the clad building. Why ballsack lane?kiwiincambodia wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 8:45 am It looks like it’s on the street leading to ballsack lane.

Sovereign nations have the right to control their borders. In saying that, Australian processing centres should not be outsourced to a company like SERCO. This company is not benign, they also control the National Visa Centre in the US, the US patent office etc etc.
Why should a company that has the Saudi government, the UK Cabinet among others as its major shareholders be controlling key strategic departments in five-eyes countries?

Nobody is disputing they have a right to control their borders.RogueAnt wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 11:21 am Sovereign nations have the right to control their borders. Most don't care who runs the centres, with the possible exception of Australians who lost jobs to the Saudi/UK faction..
Everyone except rednecks cares how they treat the people in these centres.
I suspect you know that.

They also have a legal requirement to abide by international treaties they signed up to on the rights of refugees and maritime law.RogueAnt wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 11:21 am Sovereign nations have the right to control their borders. Nobody? You mean in this thread or generally? There are many who support open borders. Australia being an island nation doesn't have the problem of porous borders but instead has to patrol a vast amount of ocean, as I'm sure you're aware.that genius wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:29 pm Nobody is disputing they have a right to control their borders.
I'm not sure why you think that most people don't care. Australians didn't lose their jobs, they were employed by an outsourcing company instead of the government.that genius wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:29 pm Most don't care who runs the centres, with the possible exception of Australians who lost jobs to the Saudi/UK faction..
Indeed, people should be pointing the finger at SERCO and G4S - you know the companies that are in charge of running the detention centres.that genius wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2018 12:29 pm Everyone except rednecks cares how they treat the people in these centres.
