Cambodia mobile operators urged to steer clear of price war

Breaking news from Cambodia can be found here. CEO often finds Khmer news and translates it into English for our readers if it is interesting to expats, locals, Cambodians living abroad and anyone who wants to stay informed of the latest local and international news stories about Cambodia and our neighbors in South East Asia. There are many sources for Khmer news articles and they can all be found here in one place. Most of the media comes out of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, but we cover national Cambodian news from all provinces.

price war can be a race to the bottom

corners cut to reduce costs, deepest pockets win, monopoly gained then abused resulting in consumers getting poor service then high price

the price war is a short term consumer gain that can result in long term pain
good its being monitored tbh

How does a price war make it difficult for customers to shop around?

Don't price wars totally benefit consumers?
Sorry, I could've been clearer. I was referring to the marketing terms they use, not the price war:

I mean it's difficult for customers to shop around and easily get an understanding of the plans and their relative costs, because you'd need to find out what they charge per MB, for example, and calculate how much you get from the $1=$333 or $1=$500.

Instead of just telling us... Where's that "daily bitch" thread again?

I agree 100%, but I think we have to concentrate on what we are dealing with now
