Sign of future problems as burst drains cause Sihanoukville flooding ?

Very heavy rains in Sihanoukville last night caused burst drains and flooding in a newly developing area of town. The flooded land has plots marked out for sale and is projected for housing construction. This was an accident, but heavy rain is not unusual here. Once all these wetlands have been built on, where will the water go ?

probably in those little rivers that take all the sewage out into the beach. thankfully that will be a Chinese problem, everyone else will have been driven out by then.

the rains washed all the rubbish out of the rivers onto the back filled "development" areas... even where they have put drains in they are way under size for the amount of water that runs of the hills into the land then sea...which it cant do anymore

A cholera epidemic would be one way of rapidly reducing the large numbers of certain nationalities, LOL
