petty squabbling and bickering

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

kickingwithbeerinthemorning all feels the same to me, tbh. Maybe it's just the inane vibe.

prove me wrong- you can't!
i won't even elaborate on the ovine theme, other than to offer the ancient motto:
NZ, where men are men, and sheep are nervous
So, you mean I can ask an Oceanic denizen to say, "House of Fish and Chips," and they'll betray their heritage, kiwi or aussie that way? If they sound Scottish, they're kiwi?

Reminds of the movie, "Inglorious Basterds" with Brad Pitt and others. A soldier gone undercover signs the number "3" the wrong way (palm out or in, can't remember) and he is discovered to be non-German. Chaos erupts.

"by these tokens shall you know them"

I'm going to try this!

"Say House of Fish and Chips."

"Beg pardon? Whatever do you mean?"

"Say House of Fish and Chips, to prove you're not an Aussie!"

[ Urgently, in a strong Scottish accent. ]

"House of Fish an Chips! House of Fish an Chips!"

"Ok, you're in, sheep lover."
Melvin Udall: Never, never, interrupt me, okay?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

I agree, he seems quite lucid recently. He still throws in a fair few cliches but mostly it's coherent and well written.

he is posting mostly with respect, he is on the radar of the fascist mods though, in case he may offend any snowflakes here.
see, using the bernays technique- we have collectievly modified his behavior
is that a good thing?
idk
ok. maybe it should be a topic, but i am not mussolini
here is the deal on this forum:
speak to people here just like you would speak to them to their face.
i think that covers it
feel free to cite this post widely

we have agreed on a crackdown on malignant postings now
it is not going to be like thaivisa or anything
we want liberty hall, just do not attack fellow posters in ad hom style. attack their arguments all you want- that is the purpose of this forum- fair debate and social twaddle

I too have thought this forum needs a place to vent. Not so much about other posters, but life in general.

Look for it; The daily bitch!

theres a pattern with all SEA forums.

1.starts off with basically next to no censorship .

2.people become members because they can post whatever they want

3.site starts making money.

4.posting policies get stricter.

5.fun/ interesting posters start getting censored / banned.

6.site gets boring.

7.sites web traffic slows.

8.site sells for next to nothing.

not bad synopsis.
ie replace "site" with K440

Squabbling

Too much baiting and squabbling here

Over modding and under modding are being complained of.

Better no need to mod

It was all going really nicely until all those K440 wankers started turning up here! :horse:
