6th annual Lone Star chili cookoff

Hello all,

The Lone Star Saloon will be hosting its 6th annual chili cookoff Sat. August 30...........at 2:00 pm.

100.00 bar tab to 1st place.
50.00 bar tab for 2nd.
25.00 bar tab for 3rd.

10.00 to join the party and eat chili. Entrants will receive a chili cookoff tee shirt and will eat for free.

Contestants will be required to provide a pot of chili (entries less than 4 liters will be rejected). Please make large pot so that all can enjoy your offering.

Looks like I'll be making a trip up north.

Who's kitchen am I taking over Friday the 29th?

You can use ours. 2 burners installed IN the counter top. I get a big bowl of the Chilli before it goes to Lonestar. Deal?

Does Lonestar need judges? I am seriously down if you do.

I'll be leaving 2 entries in the freezer again.

Hopefully the judges will be more discerning than in the SHV comp, and my 4 Alarm Chili will have beans this time.

Mind you it is the Peoples Choice I am chasing.

Speaking of competitions, how'd you fare in the "other" PP Hot Dog Eating Competition? You and koastal tied for first place last year, right?

I'll actually be retracting from this one. I can only manage one trip up to PP in the timeframe and seeing a friend off takes priority.
