Taser Guns
Re: Taser Guns
I'm pretty sure there are shops here that sell them but never mind, If it's illegal it's illegal.hanno wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 3:01 pmThe real Tasers are on sale on Amazon for $319 but I am sure what is on sale there is some sort of clone. Seen stun guns on Ebay for 20 Dollars....John Bingham wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 2:10 pm There's no way you can get a taser for $100, they go for $400+.

Re: Taser Guns
Yeah, how dumb would it be to just let the dog bite me. See any Khmer let a dog bite him?SmartAston Martin wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 2:27 pmEscalation, escalation.vladimir wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 1:44 pm I was looking at pepper spray/Mace last weekend and a guy did the psst! dirty magazines wink and told me he could get me a taser. $100
Since I wanted the pepper spray for the dog that used to run after me very morning and try and bite me, I didn't think it would be worth spending $100 on
The spray worked the first time, he hasn't chased me since.
The taser might be an idea for his owner, though.
Let's change Paradise. NOT!
Are you from Arkansas?
Our very presence changes this place, and I doubteven many Khmers suggest it's paradise.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?
Re: Taser Guns
Ok. On to the next question: Can stun guns be legally bought here by barangs?
Re: Taser Guns
Do you know if they're legal?
Re: Taser Guns
Where did you buy the pepper spray? I've heard it's about $8 a bottle. True or not?vladimir wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 1:44 pm I was looking at pepper spray/Mace last weekend and a guy did the psst! dirty magazines wink and told me he could get me a taser. $100

Re: Taser Guns
you can buy pepper spray in pharmacies and convenience stores.
not stunners are not legal but no one cares.
if you get robbed here, you will be blindsided or outnumbered and have no time to pull a weapon.
as mentioned, a walking stick is highly practical.
really though, there are very few reasons to be fearful even if you are out partying.
safer than USA by far i would think.

Re: Taser Guns
Oh you can. But not a real trademarked Taser for that sort of money.Ronny wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 3:27 pmI'm pretty sure there are shops around here that sell them for $20 or so. It's just a matter if you buy one (or can) buy one or not. I guess this is a question for Kiwi or some of the guys who have been here awhile a really know what's what.hanno wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 3:01 pmThe real Tasers are on sale on Amazon for $319 but I am sure what is on sale there is some sort of clone. Re: Taser Guns
I don't carry anything around here but I also do not dress or act like I am worth attacking or robbing. I only carry enough money in several pockets for what I need at that time be it money for food shopping or out for a beer.
I don't wear gold chains or anything expensive and I have a couple or silver rings. ( had them for years not large or expensive)
I have had my phone stolen twice and a demand for cash with assistance of a knife from 3 lady boys ( chucked my small change notes in the air and bolted. about $6)
I don't recommend carrying a knife you will probably end up dead or in jail if you use one or get it taken off you and used against you.
Pepper spray for dogs sounds like a smart idea.
I would recommend 3. Common sense with a dash of caution around holiday periods.

Re: Taser Guns
They seem easy enough to get but sellers usually keep them hidden, so they are probably illegal. Almost anything you can think of that can be used as a weapon is, so while you can, for example, get a machete legally and easily you can also be charged with carrying an illegal weapon if caught using it in a confrontation. If you or your house are searched on unrelated matters and weapons are found these will be used as evidence that you are a criminal.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
