Girls crying "Jao!" gets bagsnatchers smashed and grabbed
12 December 2017
PHNOM PENH - Three young women in a tuk tuk reacted fast when two young hoods on a motorbike grabbed their handbag yesterday, 11 December, around 4pm at the corner of Street 51 and 208 in Boeng Raing commune, Daun Penh district.
With loud angry shouts of "jao!", or thief!, the girls caught the attention of people on the street, who chased and captured the two bagsnatchers, and then proceeded to give them a good beating for their trouble before calling the cops.
Thanks to this collective effort, the women retrieved their bag, which contained $190, and the two bag snatchers found themselves down at the police station in a sorry state.
