Snooky cops traffic stop

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. I wonder if it's possible to get a copy of the little rule books the traffic cops have.
This is the latest traffic law 2015 in Khmer AFAIK http://www.skpcambodia.com/Laws%20&%20R ... cation.pdf

There is an English version RoadTrafficLaw2015EN but it seems to have gone missing of the net.

That SPK version is from 2007, according to the back page.

The latest I have is this which came into effect in 2015:

Khmer

English
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4cdu0msaejle7 ... h.pdf?dl=0

But I'm certain there's was a broad revision of that that came into effect Jan 1 2016 - plus the later removal of the A class license for <125cc motos by the boss early Jan 2016. Perhaps the 2015 law is what came into effect on Jan 1 2016? Still, no updates to include Prime Ministerial decrees appear to have been published.

That's what I understand, the King signed off the law on 9th Jan 2015 and it was expected to go into force in February, however it took a year to be implemented.
"Interior Ministry officials on Thursday laid out more details about plans to beef up road safety in anticipation of a new traffic law that comes into effect nationwide today, and conceded that the effort would not be without its challenges." Khuon Narim | January 1, 2016 Cambodia Daily

The cops have always stopped people for not having two mirrors, as long as I have been in Shv. Some years now, prior to the latest rule change.

Who stops for the cops? Just swerve around them.

Totally support crash helmet/mirror fines.

I was under the impression most civilised countries demand crash helmets and twin mirrors, I know some countries only demand 1.

Make a plan, save yourself lots of trouble for $1

I was told to get mirrors, (I got one, for the left side; but literally can't install one on the right side).

How does one handle this type of shiite, for next time I get pulled over.
Think the obvious answer is just get some mirrors. Mirrors & helmet should be essential.
