Really surprised MoTourism/Transport hasn't stepped in, tbh.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right?

So I see a lot of complaints about the different bus companies here, this one in particular. A lot of people are using the ac vans instead. Is this based on safety or comfort?
I still feel safer, sitting on the right hand side back in the bus, than in a van here in Cambodia. Coming from Pursat to Phnom Penh two years ago, I came across an accident involving a bus and three SUVs.
I came across the bus first, the front was smashed in, and I doubt the bus driver will walk again, a few bloodied passengers exiting the bus. Pretty bad, right? Then a good 500 meters down the road I saw the cars. Fully wrecked, upside down, with occupants lying squashed dead under the car, with limbs going in every unnatural direction you can think of. Bloodied children lying on the road crying, looking at their dead mother.
That's when I decided that bigger is better on the cambodian roads.

They got a slap on the wrist over a year ago for safety negligence.

I thought I recognized that baby face.
Back around the turn of the century, a young 17 -18 year old Virak was a motodop in Koh Chang. Nice guy, a bit on the shy side. Unlike his older brother Sam who some would say was a scammer, others would say he was very helpful.
Between the two of them they managed to get the bulk of the foreigners arriving from Thailand due to their superior English. But, they would use the price is 'up to you' scam and make very good money everyday, not to mention profiting from pre-buying boat tickets (before the bridge) at the Khmer price, and taking tourists to restaurants and guesthouses where they got kick-backs.
I wonder who financed the bus company for Virak.

Yet their nightbuses that pass in front of my place are always full in high season, beggars belief. I was once stuck taking a night bus of theirs many moons ago, the crew was as high as a kite on ice and smoked while at a pitstop, not really news though i guess.
