I think that when a foreigner overdoses in a guest house or hotel in Cambodia, the staff and owners should be drug-tested. If any test positive, lock them up. The competent authorities should do that.

Wonder if they'll also get around to noting/mentioning the other double drug death in Kampot last year. They did report on it back then IIRC.

RIP. From the pics of the bodies looks like they just went out fairly peacefully, they're lying on the bed fully clothed so they didn't pass out whilst sleeping, and as PR said there's no foam or puke to indicate what may have happened. Doesn't look like booze and opiates, and no empties suggests very little booze. In the chemists they normally just give you a fist full of antibiotics and paracetemol, it'll probably kill your baby but not two genetically unrelated adults. Bad party drugs?

The floor appears to have round, large, white tablets scattered on it.

If they chewed or crumbled up delayed release oxy it would do the job if they had low tolerance or a few drinks down them.

Serious waste of life.
