Dubai did well considering its size! Not my kinda place at all, but I can definitely see the appeal for mall rats and lovers of conspicuous consumption.

bangkok is a nightmare of a city, i had to sit in 2 hours of traffic just to get to the airport

I will absolutely not miss that. Flying to Kuala Lumpur this time around. Next day over to PP on a flight that cost less than one leaving from Bangkok. Go figure. Saved big bucks over going into BKK from Arizona AND booked a better airline (All Nippon Airlines). Airlines that went into Bangkok were mostly Chinese with two year layovers in Shanghai or Beijing.
I like Bangkok, don't get me wrong, but when it comes to getting to and from the two airports...pain in the ass time.
