Hired wedding staff turn out to be a band of beer thieves

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

31 October 2017
At a Phnom Penh wedding at Prey Khe village, Sangkat Phoum Chreavrath, Por Sen Chey district, yesterday evening, 30 October, it was discovered that the members of staff belonging to the 'Vathanak Protocol' wedding company had set up a system for stealing beer, when four backpacks and bags full of Tiger and ABC beer cans were discovered hidden behind the party.

The representative of the owner of the wedding ceremony, Sooy Sophea, an 51-year-old man who lives in Phnom Penh, said they were very disappointed with their experience hiring Vatanak Protocol. They hired the company to make the event easier, but the night was ruined because the staff stole their beer and they had to call the police. Four members of staff tried to escape, and one is still on the run, but police have his name and address.

According to a statement from a staff member, the group said they had indeed stolen the owner's beer. In all, 20 cases of stolen ABC beer were found. (Note:It is not clear whether these all came from this wedding, or previous weddings.)
