Couple in a car robbed and killed, children spared

Kampong Thom provincial police have made three arrests over the brutal shooting murder and robbery of a husband and wife in front of their 12-year-old son and 15-year-old niece.
Provincial police chief Ouk Kosal identified the suspects as Ear Puon, 43, Bun Rong, 26, and Bun Chantha, 24, all rubber plantation workers in Kampong Cham province.
He identified the victims as Soeung Bronh, 41, and his wife Ly Chantheoun, 38. Mr Bronh was a businessman and the owner of a rubber plantation in the province.
The victims had been driving home from their plantation in Kraya commune with their son and niece when they were ambushed by four armed men at a quiet spot on Sunday.
Two of the suspects entered the vehicle and shot the victims, killing them immediately. The son and the niece cried out and the suspects threatened to kill them too.
The suspects then fled with money and jewellery worth more than $50,000, police said...
