Foreigner Arrested For Assault And Robbery Of Woman On Sukhumvit Rd

A foreign man was arrested on Tuesday night after he allegedly assaulted and robbed a woman on Sukhumvit Road.

The man, identified only as Steve, was chased down and captured by motorbike taxi drivers close to the Soi 33 branch of Subway after they witnessed the attack just before midnight.
According to an eyewitness, the foreigner, thought to be in his 30s, punched the woman in the stomach before snatching a gold necklace from her neck.
He then attempted to make his getaway on foot, however, the motorcycle men gave chase and soon had him on the ground, holding him until police arrived.
