News and Legal Advice

Breaking news from Cambodia can be found here. CEO often finds Khmer news and translates it into English for our readers if it is interesting to expats, locals, Cambodians living abroad and anyone who wants to stay informed of the latest local and international news stories about Cambodia and our neighbors in South East Asia. There are many sources for Khmer news articles and they can all be found here in one place. Most of the media comes out of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, but we cover national Cambodian news from all provinces.

why are u getting involved? assume ur a Barang. Let your wife and the family deal with it or you may find yourself unwelcome in Cambodia soon.
Hence the reason for my question in the original post.
I dont want to get directly involved but could use someone who is familiar with the system and can make things happen.

Sorry to hear about this, Jeremy, that's pretty messed up. Any updates on the case? Is the copper still locked up at least?

Yeah hes still locked up.
Turns out my father in law had some friends if friends in VERY high places.
So I think we may actually see justice.
We'll see in 3-6 months when his trial comes. For now he's hopefully gettin his asshole resized.

Yeah thats us.
We were just laying my boy down to bed when we got the call about 20 minutes after it happened.
We're only 3 minutes away so jumped on the moto to be greeted by a million cameras. I tried to avoid them the best i could.

Sorry to hear this. I hope that the perpetrator gets a long sentence but I wouldn't bet on it.

@OP Sorry for your loss and sympathies to your wife and her family. A very shocking way to die.
