Police raid on stolen motorbike sellers; policeman sought

Kompong Speu Province: Many motorbikes were seized by the provincial police, the Ministry of Interior, after their research found that the site was a depot and resale point for stolen motorbikes.

The crackdown on the stolen motorbikes took place in the morning of October 9, 2017, in Krangapheap Village, Sangkat Rokar Thom, Chbar Morn City, Kampong Speu Province.

The place was well-known to locals as a thieves den, but more surprisingly, there are reports that one of the two alleged offenders was a provincial police officer, who is currently being sought by the police. There are also unconfirmed reports by the neighbours that a lot of motorbikes were heard leaving the premises last night.
Despite such claims, it can not be assumed that the police officer was involved. Regarding the claim that the beneficiary of theft was a police officer in the province, the reporter tried to ask for explanations from Brigadier General Sam Samin, chief police officer, but he is still waiting for an answer...
