Wat Phnom to Stop Providing Rentable Electric scooters

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

This news may come as a surprise to many people.

The electric scooter rental service at Wat Phnom in Phnom Penh will come to a halt.

Phnom Penh authorities stated that the service which has been provided since May this year has not seen much tourists using them. In addition the scooters made available shewed technical problems which made them return back to the store room.

The former Phnom Penh Mayor BaSuJieDeWang provided this service to the public at Wat Phnom since May this year. The rent for each scooter for every half an hour was 10000riel (approx US$2.50)
