Cambodia-Japan Offically Sign an Agreement on $35 Million Grant

Phnom Penh (FN), October 3- The Royal Government of Cambodia received about $35 million grant from the Japanese Government for the construction of bridges and roads in flood-prone area in Kratie and Prey Veng provinces. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, and Hidehisa Horinouchi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, signed the agreement this morning.

Since April 2017, Cambodia has received Japan's official development assistance about $249 million, including a grant of, approximately $40 million for the development of human resources, flood protection and drainage improvement in the capital, and a loan that is worth approximately $209 million for the development of a new terminal development in Sihanoukville.
