Re: homeless in london
I said it was possible to buy property in those countries, whether one wants to or not is irrelevant.
Saudi Arabia - Foreigners are allowed to own real estate, subject to approval of the licensing authority.
China - Foreigners who have worked or studied in China for at least a year are allowed to buy a home.
Russia - The Land Code of 2001 allows private ownership of land and properties, both by locals and foreigners.
Absolutely nothing to do with Margaret Thatcher or the loss of your manufacturing industry or the squandering of the North Sea oil reserves of course.

This country is slowly being fucked, thanks to that cunt blair and all the cunts that followed him "fuck you jack i,m alright" is the mantra now

That's because they (Irish government) are trying to stimulate the property market. Outside of Dublin property prices are still in the slump of the 2006 bubble.boozyoldman wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 5:17 pm In the Irish Republic - until fairly recently - foreigners could buy five adjusted acres* without needing Land Commission approval.
Cambodia ought to adopt the same practice.
* Five acres of excellent land. There was a sliding scale - 5 acres of excellent land was the equivalent 25 acres of bog, rocks and heather.
The Land Commission could pre-empt a sale, buy the land in the name of the State and resell it on a very lengthy installment plan to the
land-hungry neighbours.
Do any foreigners own houseboats on the Tonle Sap? Just a thought!
Those forgieners who bought houses in London. You do know they bought them off ordinary Londoners right?
My mate sold his property (from his dad's estate. Cab driver) for 2 million quid. Paid for his two kids education, and a big house in Hertfordshire. He commutes into London. Happy as a pig in shit.
He also owned a house in Croydon.
Yes doctors, nurses are being priced out but it's been like that for 30 years'.
I don't get the feverish outrage. You're in Cambodia. If you care so much go back home and run for government.

Foreigners have been allowed to buy British property since the Ice Age. Don't try and squeeze weak-ass 80s politics into it. Also, if you pony up $50k you can get Cambodian citizenship and thus own property. If you live in London you can just sell your shed for about that much.John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2017 9:29 am I said it was possible to buy property in those countries, whether one wants to or not is irrelevant.

You could sell the shed. But it's the immigrants that will own that garden shed, and they prefer to rent it out to other immigrants.cptrelentless wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2017 2:38 amForeigners have been allowed to buy British property since the Ice Age. It's worth more in the long time rent.

tightenupvolume1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 2:44 pm There are no homeless on the moors of a scottish island. We have a housing crisis in london. Russian criminals, african warlords, oil shieks, anyone who has managed to steal the tax money from impoverished third world nations are flocking to london.
London is up for sale to those with the biggest pockets, the people that work, that keep the city running, that pay taxes are told to fuck off. Nurses, fireman, cleaners, coppers, teachers, bus drivers, anyone who is not rich. Houses and flats are sold to rich chinese who will never even live here, maybe never even visit, who have never even seen them. They just use them to park their money.
London is where people come to launder money, no questions asked. If we just sit back and allow it go on i fear for the future.
A city where the uber rich congregate, and everybody else serves them, like slaves.
And yes in reply to all you lot screaming "commie" "anarchist" i am on the extreme left of politics, but now i am in my 60s i have given up. We Londoners have no choice about what happens to the city, who lives here, who contributes, what sort of society we want, these decisions are made by a small cabal of people.
So Barangs are not allowed to buy property in KOW? i wonder what would happen if that changed tomorrow? Anybody with the money no matter where that money came from could buy property. Would there be a flow of people buying up everything that dosen,t move? would most of you be priced out?
Of course baranag can buy property, just not land, but there are workarounds for that too if you have the money.
I have no solution to what is happening in the UK but things need to change and i don,t think a voting booth is the answer.
rant over
