My travel insurance gives me up to two grand a pop for theft, so yes. Cost me 30 quid for 90 days holiday a go.

If you want to make a claim on insurance you will need a police report. This will be difficult as it will cost you time and money and it will be an unknown document.
They always ask for a "fee" and unless you read Khmer you will not know what the document says.
Good luck with your endeavours.

^ The Tourist Police produce police reports for foreigners in both English & Khmer, yes some may ask for a small donation but not always.
