British expat denies murdering 2 Indonesian women in HK.

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

A Cambridge-educated British banker has pleaded not guilty to the murder of two young Indonesian women found dead at his luxury Hong Kong home almost two years ago, blaming a “personality disorder” for the killings.

Rurik Jutting, 31, was arrested in the early hours of 1 November 2014 after he called police to his 31st floor flat in Wanchai, a seedy bar district not far from the former colony’s financial centre.

Inside, officers found the bodies of two migrant workers who had frequented the area’s bars, 23-year-old Sumarti Ningsih and 29-year-old Seneng Mujiasih, who was also known as Jesse Lorena.

Ningsih, a mother-of-one, had sustained severe knife wounds to her neck and buttocks while the decomposing body of Mujiasih, thought to have been killed several days earlier, had been stuffed into a suitcase on the apartment’s balcony...

The coked-up murderer, who pleaded "not guilty" on grounds of diminished responsibility, filmed himself torturing one of the victims on his iphone:

A million dollars on hookers and blow. I think maybe the videos do kind of point some sort of murderous intent, what with the step by step reconstructions and all. Did he do a video on Phil Collins?

His only hope is to be declared psychotic so he can be binned up rather than jailed, like Sagawa Issei.

Later on, trick cyclists will - he probably hopes - declare him cured and he might even be released.

Anyone remember the Broadmoor poisoner?

A British banker who killed two Indonesian women in Hong Kong after three days of cocaine- and alcohol-fuelled torture and rape has been found guilty of their murders.

Rurik Jutting, 31, a Cambridge-educated employee at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, killed Sumarti Ningsih and Seneng Mujiasih in 2014 after meeting them at bars in the city’s red-light district, a jury found unanimously.

He was sentenced to serve two concurrent life sentences.

“The defendant has shown not a shred of remorse, and the statement read this afternoon was the only time I have ever heard him say sorry, and I don’t accept it,” Stuart-Moore said.

Jutting’s lawyers plan to file for transfer to prison in the UK, but Stuart-Moore said he would ensure the courts in England knew the extent of his crimes, adding: “If this had been in the UK I would make sure this is a full life term, but I have no such power here.”

Supporters from the International Migrants Alliance were outside court, but no members of the victims’ families were present, as they could not afford to make the journey from rural Indonesia.

Statements read by the prosecution before sentencing detailed the poverty in which the two women grew up and their hardships in the past two years.

British banker Rurik Jutting to appeal against murder conviction
27 September 2017
- A British banker serving a life sentence for killing two Indonesian women in Hong Kong after subjecting them to three days of alcohol- and cocaine-fuelled torture and rape will appeal against his conviction, his lawyer has said.

In November 2016, Rurik Jutting, 31, a Cambridge-educated employee at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, was unanimously convicted of the murders in 2014 of Indonesian immigrants Sumarti Ningsih, 23, and Seneng Mujiasih, 29.

The appeal will focus on “the directions given to the jury by the deputy judge”, said Michael Vidler, one of Jutting’s lawyers. Arguments will be presented on 12 December at Hong Kong’s court of appeal.

He is serving his sentence at the maximum security Stanley prison, a colonial-era jail on the southern coast of Hong Kong island...

Great to see the highest standards of British justice being practiced in Hong Kong.
Civilisation, we call it.

The Chinese barbarians will just butcher them when they retake control in 2047.
