Re: homeless in london
In the Irish Republic - until fairly recently - foreigners could buy five adjusted acres* without needing Land Commission approval.
Cambodia ought to adopt the same practice.
* Five acres of excellent land. There was a sliding scale - 5 acres of excellent land was the equivalent 25 acres of bog, rocks and heather.
The Land Commission could pre-empt a sale, buy the land in the name of the State and resell it on a very lengthy installment plan to the
land-hungry neighbours.
Do any foreigners own houseboats on the Tonle Sap? Just a thought!

Re: homeless in london
The foreigners who have "gobbled up" (bought) that real estate tend to be from countries like Russia/ China/ Saudi Arabia and others where it is perfectly feasible for you or any other foreigner to buy real estate too. It also seems perfectly reasonable to me that some countries such as Cambodia/ India/ Thailand/ Vietnam restrict foreign ownership of property, especially of land. Maybe if you had figured that one out a bit earlier you wouldn't be paying your rent to a Sheik now?Ronny wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 4:49 pmAnd you think that's fair? That foreigners can just go to the US or GB and gobble up real estate while we can't buy shit when we go to their countries? You have your views and I have mine, but I hate double standards because it fosters resentment.boozyoldman wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 7:54 am If the same rich chap from the Gulf had bought a derelict croft in the Hebrides and announced his desire to keep a rare breed of sheep,
nobody would complain or feel somehow cheated or dismayed.
A willing seller - or two - sold two properties in London to a willing buyer. That's all there is to it.
Foreigners can buy any property they wish (and can afford) in Britain or the U.S.A. - but not in Cambodia or Thailand.
Discuss and give examples.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Yeah, when you can go to China and buy a house and some land then get back with me, buddy. Good luck with that...John Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2017 12:13 amThe foreigners who have "gobbled up" (bought) that real estate tend to be from countries like Russia/ China/ Saudi Arabia and others where it is perfectly feasible for you or any other foreigner to buy real estate too. Re: homeless in london
I can,t be bothered to look but i doubt that the housing markets in Russia, Arabia, China are a free for all, i doubt that ANYBODY with the money can go to those places, ( or even, as is the case in London buy without even seeing them ) get the money laundered, and then basically use the property as way of parking money. Its fucking monopoly with real peoples lives.
The system is fucked, the gap between the rich and the poor can only widen so much and then i predict trouble, unfortunately i won,t be here to see the cunts strung up.

Re: homeless in london
Unless things have changed very recently, foreigners are forbidden to buy land in Saudi Arabia.
When the foreign embassies were still in Jeddah (before the Great Hijira to the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh) the accepted
procedure was to negotiate a long lease. Again, it seems improbable that a foreigner can own property in China, unless
(and this is just a guess) we are talking about an apartment.

Re: homeless in london
you are probably right, about arabia and china, at the end of the day if you want to own 1 or 2 or a dozen properties with no questions asked welcome to London, we will even clean up your cash for you. You can also bring your own slaves if you don,t want to use the ones already here, and don,t worry about tax, we have the finest advisors in the world, your property will be owned by an offshore trust and you will pay nothing. You will have the option of the finest health care in the world while working people que for treatment and if anybody complains you can use the race card
This country is slowly being fucked, thanks to that cunt blair and all the cunts that followed him "fuck you jack i,m alright" is the mantra now

For what possible reason would you want to buy land in Saudi ? Any reason will do. I can't think of a single one.boozyoldman wrote: Unless things have changed very recently, foreigners are forbidden to buy land in Saudi Arabia.
Investment ? Lifestyle ? Weather ? The nude beaches ? The superior standard of their English teachers ???

Uuuuh... in China, even the Chinese can't own land.
I'm a foreigner and live in China. I could buy a condo...or house... or apartment but not the land it's on. Also, as soon as my Residence Permit expires (it's connected to my job contract) I have to 'get out'... even if I own a condo, or apartment or a house.
You could be next.

Re: homeless in london
P.S. The foreigner out 'thing' in China even extends beyond death. If I got a Residence Permit based on marriage to a Chinese citizen, when I died, I would not be able to be buried (or have ashes interred) on Chinese soil.
You could be next.
