Those black water beetles have a really disgusting taste. They remind me of that acrid smell you'd get when you were a kid smashing up beetles. Gross.

they make a bottled sauce out of those giant water beetles.

the smell would put a vulture off it's dinner.

I travelled from Kampong Cham to Phnom Penh on road 6. The spiders are plentiful in this area. I tried a few for the first time at $1 for the pair.
I had always been hesitant before! I shouldn't have been, they were excellent.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
