Extraordinarily low voter registration
Registration is open until November 9, and they're down 50%. Seems like the only people bothering to register are the CPP lovers. Or maybe they are the only one's not bothering to vote.
HE has won the battle, but has he won the war?
The KT really is a pathetic excuse for an EL newspaper. Where did those local journalist's get their language skills from? It's almost as bad as the Android spell checker. I guess the editors have pretty much given up. Well, you can't blame them.
Headline from today's KT. Even that lot on 440 should be able to spot the errors.
The PPP has obviously had a late night and decided not to update their paper as of 8am. Edit 8:57 and still not published yet. Edit lazy bastards are still on holiday. Will there be a weekend edition?
Or maybe just one Mr. Nytha.
NEC worried about low voter registration
The National Election Committee yesterday expressed concern over low turnout for voter registration for next year’s national election.
Tep Nytha, secretary-general of the NEC, said about 20,000 people should be registering per day, but so far, an average of just 10,000 had registered per day.
The NEC said that 59,185 people across the country went to register from September 1 to September 10.
Voter registration runs until November 9. As of Wednesday, 85,979 people across the country had registered.
Mr Nytha said there could be many reasons for the slow turnout, but hoped that most voters were just putting it off until the deadlines neared.
