Re: Lady in red; mystery woman found in roadside sack
Horrible story of the murder of a woman who had lent some money to the accused. Sad and sordid:
- Police in Kampot province on Wednesday arrested a man accused of stabbing dead a mother of three in Kampong Chhnang province over a monetary dispute.
Kampot police chief Mao Chanmeakthurith identified the suspect as Pat Chanvatha, 30, the editor of the Chhaya Angkor Media Centre.
According to police, the suspect stabbed Tith Linda, a 42-year-old widow, on September 3 after she demanded he return money he had cheated her out of.
After stabbing her in the stomach, face and throat, the suspect put her body in a rice sack and tossed it into a rice field in Kampong Tralach district.
Hor Vuthy, provincial deputy police chief, said the suspect was now in custody and continuing to be questioned...
