Another (almost) deadly tale of a UK expat on Koh Tao
Yet another cautionary tale of an expat in Thailand.
UK man’s desperate to find his children after being left for dead on Koh Tao
22 August 2017
On 13th of September 2015 British born Dave Polley was kicked out of the window of his home in Koh Tao where he had lived for 13 years with his wife and children. After being put on a life support machine Mr Polley’s mother was asked to sign a form giving the hospital permission to turn off the a machines to end his life.
Dave Polley visited in Thailand in 1999, having fallen in love with the place he returned 13 years ago to live in Koh Chang where he met his wife Ae. After five blissful years in Koh Chang the couple moved to Koh Tao where Mr Polley, now fluent in Thai, took a job as a diving instructor. Things were going well for the couple living an idyllic lifestyle until Mr Polley was thrown through one of the windows of his house, his injuries very nearly killed him and have left him permanently disabled.
The reason? His wife was having an affair with another English man named Terry Lee Towers and had robbed him of 3 million Thai baht. Mr Polley discovered that his, house, registered in his son Michael Ladlakhon Polley’s name as he was a Thai/ English national, had been illegally transferred to his wife by her friend, a corrupt government official.
During the fall Mr Polley sustained injuries so horrific that at one point he was declared brain dead...

Another dumb foreigner hits the pavement.
There is a reason they don't sell apartments on the ground floor to farang you know.
Get over it, Thais murder foreigners for money. That's why Phucket got himself a Cambodian wife, lives in a bungalow, but still gets the dog to taste everything his wife cooks first.

Fell from his bedroom window whilst drunk as a skunk. Not kicked out. Was not married to Ae. They were not together for 5 years on Koh Chang. Ae was not having an affair.

Thaivisa earlier published a story after being contacted by a Mr David Polley, who has not seen his children since sustaining a brain damaging injury whilst in Thailand.
Thaivisa posted the story in good faith but it has come to light that parts of the story may in fact be inaccurate.
As such the post has been removed while we investigate the matter further.
David contacted Thaivisa earlier last week desperate to find the whereabouts of his kids, this is certainly still very much the case. And whatever the truth it is appears to be heartbreaking for all concerned. y in fact be inaccurate.
Perhaps ceo should also close this until is deemed accurate or not??
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Why? Because stuff like that never happens, and we don't want to give the Thais a bad name?phuketrichard wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 2:45 pmnot married, live in a house, dog diedGet over it, Thais murder foreigners for money. It does happen. I have it on very good authority. Anyone who thinks it doesn't is fooling themselves.

So, now do we have to refer to Koh Tao as "Almost/Sometimes/Probably Death Island"?
You could be next.
