Police recover foreigner's smartphone from 5 no-gooders; Siem Reap

Siem Reap:
At 4:30 am on 22 August, Commissariat of Crime and Social Security officers found a group of five men and women suspicious, they decided to approach them, however, they ran away. Luckily, they were all arrested after the police found out that they have stole a Huawei smartphone from an unidentified foreign tourist since 15 August at Pub Street of Night Market and about to sell it off on the day of their detention.

The five suspects were a 27 year-old man whose name is Hun Yeourn, a 32 year-old woman, named Veit Sopheap, a 34 year-old woman, named Touch Chingchok, Sek Sovannkongkea--aka Noy, and Reth Nhanh both were 18 year-old teenagers (male & female) who all lived in Siem Reap. They were all questioned and ready for the trials and the evident would be detain awaiting for the owner to take it back.

They hang out in the periphery of the baby milk scammers and have been up to their nefarious ways for years, with the tacit approval of the coppers.

So instead of prosecuting for multiple years of child abuse its easier for Siem Reap police to get them for theft of a phone!

I am pretty sure the cops made a lot of good money over the years, allowing the milk powder scam. I never saw the scammers get harassed. If there was too much heat from the top, they'd disappear for a couple of weeks and then be back as if nothing had happened.
