Re: Torrent fail
You have too many seeds. Also restrict your upload bandwidth ( to 70% max upload ). I usually restrict to max 2 active DL's at a time.
I connect at 28 MB/s.
I connect at 28 MB/s.

Anytown, Ont, CANStroppyChops wrote:28MB/s? Are you in heaven?
My CAP is 300 GB/mo or unlimited.
But 50 miles outside the city(rural shared phone lines), speeds are shit. Less than dial up.
Alternatives are SAT or Cell > 1.5 - 3.5 Mb/s DL ( CAP 5GB/mo )
I could get 150Mb/s.

Actually 2.8MB/s. Your right.Digg3r wrote:mb/s I presume not mB/s
A movie of 1.5MB takes less than 10 mins. TV show 5 mins.
I use NetWorx bandwidth monitor and depending on the scale I choose it reads 28. Confusing compared to uTorrent's graph.

What speeds will they offer? Price?Digg3r wrote:NBNco laid fiber on my street a couple of weeks ago. It goes live next month. Soon to be in heaven...StroppyChops wrote:28MB/s? Are you in heaven?
It's cheaper for them and costlier for us. No real competition.

Re: Torrent fail
I was getting a steady 12Mb (or whatever) last night. Shocked. Love it! I think it's only a 8Mb connection through OpenNet.

Once it's live I'll be signing up for 100/40 unlimited for AUD$89. There's probably a surcharge as well for a static ip.Milord wrote:What speeds will they offer?
