Stretch your memory back to past cases like shootings, road accidents, rapes, murders, land grabbing, logging , or any other crime and ask yourself would that evidence and
the sentence stand up in a court of law in your own country.
Zero, none, nada, zed. Even with just a court appointed attorney it would be a very rare instance. Not the common everyday variety of killing someone slowly.

Moldovan gets 8 years on trafficking charges
Wed, 16 August 2017
The Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday sentenced Moldovan national Liudmila Bejenari to eight years in prison for keeping an employee in debt bondage and forcing her to have sex with customers.

“The court decides to sentence the accused – Bejenari, Liudmila; known as Linda – to eight years’ imprisonment and orders the accused to pay compensation of 30 million riel [about $4,500] to the victim for the charge ‘unlawful removal with purpose’ under Article 10 of the Anti-Trafficking Law,” Judge Svay Tonh said, reading out the verdict.

The Moldovan victim filed a complaint against Bejenari in 2015, claiming that Linda lured her to Cambodia with the promise of work, but then confiscated her passport. According to the victim’s complaint, Linda did not pay her salary while she was employed at Ga.Do Italian Pizza and Wine Shop and forced her to have sex with customers for money. ..

8 years in prison. Shame they didn't get that Jeffrey cunt and lock him up for 15. I expect seeing as he was the one taking all the money, he bought himself a deal. Or, like the shister he is, left her holding the baby. I'm fairly convinced some members on tof knew what was going on, and most likely participated in some small way.

Pizzeria Manager Gets 8 Years for Sex Trafficking

"BY OUCH SONY | AUGUST 16, 2017

The former manager of a Phnom Penh pizzeria was on Tuesday convicted of “unlawful removal with purpose” in relation to a sex trafficking case and jailed for eight years.

The Phnom Penh Municipal Court’s Presiding Judge Svay Tonh also ordered Moldovan national Liudmila Bejenari, 28, to pay 30 million riel, or about $7,500, to the plaintiff—whose name has been withheld.

In a July 6 trial, the 19-year-old victim, who is also Moldovan, testified that the former manager of Ga Do Italian Pizza & Wine forced her to work without pay and have sex with the pizzeria’s clientele after she arrived in Cambodia in August 2014.

Ms. Bejenari’s lawyer, Sok Chea, said on Tuesday of the verdict: “It is harsh for my client because all witnesses exculpated her.”

Ms. Bejenari has been detained at Prey Sar prison since her arrest in a June 2015 anti-trafficking raid and has maintained her innocence.

During trial, she claimed the victim had signed a contract agreeing to work without salary for one year in order to repay her debts, including airfare and passport fees.

The victim, who made a frantic call to her parents in 2015 that prompted the raid, has since returned to her native Moldova.
