Decent hi-fi sound from computer
Re: Decent hi-fi sound from computer
My ancient Pioneer SA-9900 driving the Dahlquist DQ 10's would rock the block. Regrettably & sadly had to sell as being so bulky & heavy.
Also owned a Suzuki quad amp. Way cool gear for it's time.

There used to be a place on 133 near Orusey. They had an impressive looking Jap valve amp in there a few years ago.$300 he was asking for it tbough. Also, that shop's been cleaned out a lot. There is one of those Jap second-hand shops selling amps and speakers, can't remember where though. Perhaps another poster knows?
See crook!!!

Thank you, epidemiks, when I said lagging, I meant in quality, not delay.
Low ceiling, perhaps time to buy foam for walls at a mattress factory.
Thanks for the tip re equalizers and Yamaha.

Always found 70s Rock to be distorted and sound of tin.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

This is a great room mode calculator to visualise where in a room you will get high pressure zones, and the frequencies where they'll propagate.
Drop in your room dimensions, flick to the room view and it'll show where you'll get increased low end, and where you'll get cancellation. Good for tuning your EQ and speaker placement.
