Everybody was monk-fu fighting

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Everybody was monk-fu fighting

Post by vladimir »

Yesterday, toddle off to the riverside for a few beers with a friend,/CIA undercover/covert ops get-together

Pun safety catch is on, minding my own business, chilling with JaapN (oops, there goes his reputation)

Enter stage left: The fake monk, asking for dosh. Jaap and I say no politely, he persists. He gets told to fuck off by both of us.

Things get testy,he is shaking his fist in Jaap's face, and I can see this is not going to end well...

I'm kind of waiting for the Chinese fake monk to throw a punch so we can give him some karma...

The owner's son comes out and tells him to move on. He does.

Then he comes back...more fist-waving, Khmer motodops gathering and also telling him to move on

Closest I or Jaap have come to punching a monk, maybe next time.

Beers with vlad...excitement guaranteed.

You might want to find a classier place to drink and maybe choose the indoor seating rather than sitting out by the road.

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Why? This is much more fun!

That was really close, his fist was about 10-15 cm from my face. He was really insulted, I think. Wanker.

That pun doesn't merit an answer, I've never hear a dharma reply.
