Sorry yes, I should have mentioned opposite the rattan shops is all the wooden furniture places. Someone told me recently even though there are a lot of shops they are mainly owned by the same people.

I also spotted some more wooden furniture places on St 182 if you want another place to browse.

I'm down to sundry kitchen- and bathroom supplies. Specifically furniture polish, which seems as rare as the arc of the covenant, despite all the wooden furniture, squeeze bottles, upper-market razor blades, and square storage boxes. I found the polish and the storage boxes at Big New (Central) Market, but the starting prices were so high that I didn't think I'd make it out of there with budget intact.

By the way, I highly recommend the Smile convenience store on Street 57 about halfway between Big New Market and Sihanouk Road. Some of the things they had in there were cheaper than Lucky's and others were a *lot* cheaper than Lucky's.

Big New Market is generally referred to as Central Market or Psar Thmei.

Just Saying.

I was having a laugh at "Big New Market's" expense. I don't remember whether it was this discussion board or one of the others, but somewhere we got into a bit of a good-natured back and forth on whether you could call a place "Big New Market" if it was built in 1937.

Yes but don't forget it was refurbished and extended only a few years ago.
